The NCV891330PD33R2G is a dual-mode voltage regulator suitable for input power in automotive, battery-connected applications that must operate at voltages up to 45 V. Depending on the output load, it can operate as a PWM buck converter or as a low dropout linear regulator, and is suitable for systems with low noise and low quiescent current requirements often encountered in automotive driver information systems. A reset pin (with fixed delay) simplifies interfacing with microcontrollers. The NCV891330 also provides several protection functions expected in automotive power systems such as current limiting, short-circuit protection, and thermal shutdown. In addition, high switching results in low output voltage ripple inductor values and all-ceramic output filter capacitors - resulting in a space-saving switching regulator solution, even at small frequencies.
