Product Details

The DRV8251ADDAR device is an integrated motor driver with an N-channel H-bridge, charge pump, current sense feedback, current regulation, and protection circuits. The charge pump improves efficiency by supporting N-channel MOSFET half-bridge and 100% duty cycle drive.

An internal current mirror architecture on the IPROPI pin enables current sensing and regulation. This eliminates the need for large power shunt resistors, saving board area and reducing system cost. With the IPROPI current sense output, the microcontroller can detect motor stall or changing load conditions. An external voltage reference pin, VREF, can determine the threshold for current regulation during start-up and stall events without microcontroller interaction.
