The ISO7841FDWWR device is a high-performance quad-channel digital isolator with an isolation voltage of 8000VPK. The device is certified for reinforced isolation according to VDE, CSA, CQC and TUV standards. When isolating complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) or low voltage complementary metal oxide semiconductor (LVCMOS) digital I/Os, the isolator provides high electromagnetic immunity and low emissions while providing low power consumption. Each isolation channel has a logic input and output buffer separated by a silicon dioxide (SiO2) insulating barrier.

The ISO7841FDWWR is equipped with an enable pin that can be used to place the corresponding outputs in a high impedance state in multiple master drive applications, and can also be used to reduce power consumption. The ISO7841 device has 3 forward channels and 1 reverse channel. In the event of input power or signal loss, the ISO7841 device outputs a high level by default, and the ISO7841F device outputs a low level by default.

When used in conjunction with the ISO7841FDWWR isolated power supply, the device helps prevent noise currents in the data bus or other circuits from entering the local ground and interfering with or damaging sensitive circuits. With innovative chip design and routing techniques, the electromagnetic compatibility of ISO7841 devices has been significantly enhanced, ensuring system-level ESD, EFT and surge protection and compliance with emissions standards.
