The TPD2S703QDSKRQ1 is a dual-channel line short-to-battery, short-to-VBUS protection, and IEC61000-4-2 ESD protection device for automotive high-speed interfaces such as USB 2.0. The TPD2S703QDSKRQ1 contains two data line nFET switches. These switches ensure safe data communication by providing industry-leading bandwidth with minimal signal attenuation while protecting the VD+ and VD– pins of the internal system circuitry from overvoltage conditions. On these pins, the device implements up to 18-V DC overvoltage protection. This provides adequate protection against short circuits on the car battery and the data lines of the USB VBUS rail. Overvoltage protection circuitry provides best-in-class short-to-battery protection and turns off data switches within 200ns to protect upstream circuitry from harmful voltage and current spikes.

The device allows adjustment of the OVP threshold and clamping circuit through a resistive divider network, providing a simple and cost-effective method for system protection optimization of any transceiver.
