Product Description:
The STM32WLE5CCU6 long-range wireless and ultra-low-power device embeds a powerful and ultra-low-power LPWAN-compatible radio solution supporting the following modulations: LoRa®, (G)FSK, (G)MSK and BPSK. LoRa® modulation is only available in STM32WLx5xx.
STM32WLE5CCU6 These devices are designed for extremely low power consumption and are based on a high-performance Arm® Cortex®-M4 32-bit RISC core running at frequencies up to 48 MHz. The core implements a full set of DSP instructions and an independent memory protection unit (MPU), enhancing application security.
These devices embed high-speed memory (up to 256 KB of Flash and 64 KB of SRAM), as well as a wide range of enhanced I/O and peripherals. The device also embeds multiple protection mechanisms for embedded flash and SRAM: read protection, write protection, and proprietary code read protection. These devices provide a 12-bit ADC, a 12-bit DAC low-power track-and-hold, two ultra-low-power comparators associated with a high-precision voltage reference generator.
These devices embed a low-power RTC with a 32-bit sub-second wake-up counter, a 16-bit single-channel timer, two 16-bit quad timers (supporting motor control), a 32-bit quad timer and Three 16-bit ultra-low power timers. The devices also embed two DMA controllers (7 channels each), allowing any combination between transfer memory (Flash, SRAM1 and SRAM2) and peripherals, using DMAMUX1 for flexible DMA channel mapping.
STM32WLE5CCU6 These devices also have standard and advanced communication interfaces listed below:
• Two USARTs (Supports LIN, Smart Card, IrDA, Modem Control and ISO7816)
• A low-power UART (LPUART)
• Three I2C (SMBus/PMBus)
• Two SPIs (up to 16 MHz, one supports I2S)
• Semaphores for processor firmware process synchronization
STM32WLE5CCU6 operating temperature/voltage range from –40 °C to +105 °C (+85 °C radio)(a) from 1.8 V to 3.6 V supply. A comprehensive set of power-saving modes allows the design of low-power applications.
The device integrates a high-efficiency SMPS step-down converter and independent supplies to power the ADC, DAC, and comparator analog inputs. VBAT dedicated power supply allows LSE 32.768 kHz oscillator, RTC and backup registers to be backed up. The device can maintain these functions even if the main VDD is disconnected, by a battery like CR2032, a supercapacitor or a small rechargeable battery.
