Product Description:

The TLC6A598MDWR device is a monolithic, high-voltage, high-current power 8-bit shift register designed for systems with relatively high load power requirements, such as LEDs.

TLC6A598MDWR This device includes a built-in output clamp voltage for inductive transient protection. Power driver applications include relays, solenoids, and other high current or high voltage loads. Each open-drain DMOS transistor has an independent chopper current-limit circuit to prevent damage in short-circuit conditions.

TLC6A598MDWR This device contains an 8-bit serial-in, parallel-out shift register that feeds an 8-bit D-type storage register. The output is a low-side, open-drain DMOS transistor rated at 50V with a continuous sink capability of 350mA. Built-in open-load and short-circuit diagnostics provide enhanced safety protection. The device provides a cyclic redundancy check to verify register values in the shift register. In readback mode, the device provides a 6-bit CRC reminder. The MCU can read back the CRC reminder and check that it is correct to determine if the communication loop between the MCU and the device is good.

The TLC6A598MDWR is rated for an ambient operating temperature range of -55°C to 125°C.
