Product Description:

The LM53600LQDSXRQ1 synchronous buck regulator device is optimized for automotive applications and can provide an output voltage of 5V, 3.3V, or an adjustable output voltage. The LM53600-Q1 supports load currents up to 650mA, while the LM53601-Q1 supports load currents up to 1000mA. The LM53600LQDSXRQ1 device utilizes advanced high-speed circuitry to regulate from an 18-V input to a 3.3-V output at a fixed frequency of 2.1 MHz. Both devices use an innovative architecture to provide a regulated 3.3V output from an input voltage of only 3.8V. Input voltages up to 36V and tolerated transient voltages up to 42V simplify input surge protection design. An open-drain reset output with filtering and delayed release provides a correct indication of system status. This feature eliminates the need for additional supervisory components, saving cost and board space. Both devices switch seamlessly between PWM and PFM modes with a quiescent current of only 23µA, ensuring high efficiency and excellent transient response under all load conditions. Few external components are required, so printed circuit board (PCB) layouts can be more compact. Although the LM53600-Q1 and LM53601-Q1 devices are Q1-rated, electrical characteristics are guaranteed over a junction temperature range of –40°C to 150°C.
