Product Description:

The TMP451HQDQFRQ1 device is a high-accuracy, low-power remote temperature sensor monitor with a built-in local temperature sensor. Such remote temperature sensors typically employ low-cost discrete NPN or PNP transistors, or substrate thermal transistors or diodes, which are integral parts of microprocessors, microcontrollers, or FPGAs. For local and remote sensors, this temperature representation is a 12-digit code with a resolution of 0.0625°C. Temperature accuracy is ±1°C (max) over the typical operating range for both local and remote temperature sensors. This two-wire serial port accepts SMBus communication protocol.

Advanced features of the TMP451HQDQFRQ1 such as series resistance cancellation, programmable nonlinear factor (η-factor), programmable offset, programmable temperature limit, and a programmable digital filter are combined to achieve a Robust thermal monitoring solution for noise immunity.

The TMP451HQDQFRQ1 device is ideal for multi-location, high-accuracy temperature measurement in various automotive subsystems. The TMP451-Q1 is packaged in a wettable flank WSON package that provides visual indicators for solderability to reduce automated visual inspection (AVI) time. The device is specified to operate over a supply voltage range of 1.7 V to 3.6 V and is specified over the -40°C to 125°C temperature range.
