Product Description:

The TPS92515HVQDGQRQ1 series of devices are compact monolithic switching regulators integrating low-resistance N-channel metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFETs). This family of devices is ideal for high-brightness LED lighting applications where high efficiency, high bandwidth, PWM and/or analog dimming, and small size are important.

TPS92515HVQDGQRQ1 This regulator operates with constant off-time and peak current control. The principle of operation is quite simple: after an off-time based on the output voltage, the on-time begins. The on-time ends immediately after the inductor peak current threshold is reached. The TPS92515HVQDGQRQ1 device can be configured to maintain constant peak-to-peak ripple during the on and off times of the shunt FET dimming cycle. This is ideal for maintaining a linear response over the entire shunt FET dimming range.

The TPS92515HVQDGQRQ1 steady-state accuracy is guaranteed with the support of a low-offset high-side comparator. The LED current can be modulated using either analog or PWM dimming techniques alone or in combination. Other features include undervoltage lockout (UVLO), wide input voltage operation, inherent open-LED operation, and thermal shutdown with a wide operating temperature range.

The TTPS92515HVQDGQRQ1 device operates with an input voltage range up to 42V. The TPS92515HVQDGQRQ1 offers a high voltage option with an input range up to 65V. All devices are packaged in a thermally enhanced 10-pin HVSSOP package.
