Product Description:

The INA240A1EDRQ1 device is an automotive qualified voltage output, current sense amplifier with enhanced PWM rejection that senses the voltage drop across the shunt resistor over a wide common-mode voltage range of –4V to 80V independent of the supply voltage. The negative common-mode voltage allows the device to operate below ground to accommodate the flyback cycle of typical solenoid applications. Enhanced PWM rejection provides a high level of rejection of large common-mode transients (ΔV/Δt) in systems that use pulse-width modulated (PWM) signals, such as motor drives and solenoid control systems. With this feature, the current can be accurately measured without large transients and corresponding recovery ripples in the output voltage.

INA240A1EDRQ1 The device operates from a single 2.7V to 5.5V supply and consumes a maximum supply current of 2.4mA. Four fixed gains are available: 20V/V, 50V/V, 100V/V, and 200V/V. The low offset of the zero-drift architecture enables the device to sense current with a maximum voltage drop across the shunt down to 10mV (full scale). The Grade 1 version is specified over the extended operating temperature range (–40°C to +125°C) and is available in 8-lead TSSOP and 8-lead SOIC packages. The Grade 0 version is specified over the extended operating temperature range (–40°C to +150°C) and is available in an 8-pin SOIC package.
