Product Description:

The BQ76PL455ATPFCRQ1 device is an integrated 16-cell battery monitoring and protection device designed to meet the needs of high-reliability automotive applications. The integrated high-speed, differential, capacitively isolated communication interface allows up to sixteen bq76PL455A-Q1 devices to communicate with the host through a single high-speed Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter (UART) interface.


The BQ76PL455ATPFCRQ1 monitors and detects a number of different fault conditions, including overvoltage, undervoltage, overtemperature, and communication faults. The device contains six GPIO ports and eight analog AUX ADC inputs for additional monitoring and programmable functions. In addition, it also has an auxiliary thermal shutdown function to further strengthen its own protection.


The BQ76PL455ATPFCRQ1 offers a variety of features to help customers meet functional safety standards

Passes the high current injection (BCI) test

Designed for reliable hot-swap performance

Passive equalization via external N-channel FET, active equalization via EMB1428Q/EMB1499Q

Helps customers meet functional safety standards (e.g. ISO26262)

Built-in self-test to verify defined internal functionality

Support open circuit detection

Has the following AEC-Q100 qualified results:
