The Cortex-A7 processor is an extremely power-efficient application processor designed to provide rich performance for high-end wearable devices, as well as other low-power embedded and consumer applications. It offers up to 20% better single thread performance than Cortex-A5 and offers similar performance to Cortex-A9.
