The LP5891QRRFRQ1 is a highly integrated common cathode LED matrix driver with 48 constant current sources and 16 scanning FETs. The LP5891-Q1 features a high-speed rising edge transfer interface that supports high device-count daisy chains while minimizing electromagnetic interference (EMI). The internal GCLK rate ranges from 40MHz to 160MHz. The device also enables LED open/weak short/short detection and removal during operation.

The LP5891QRRFRQ1 is a highly integrated common cathode matrix LED display driver with 48 constant current sources and 16 scan FETs. In addition to driving 16 × 16 and 32 × 32 RGB LED pixels like the LP5890, three LP5891-Q1 devices are capable of driving 48 × 48 RGB LED pixels, and stacking four LP5891-Q1 devices can drive 64 × 64 RGB LED pixels. For low power consumption, the device provides discrete power supplies for red, green, and blue LEDs through its common-cathode structure. Additionally, the LP5891-Q1 operates at significantly reduced power through an ultra-low operating voltage range (Vcc as low as 2.5V) and ultra-low operating current (Icc as low as 3.6mA).

The device supports SCLK up to 50MHz (external) and GCLK up to 160MHz (internal). At the same time, the device integrates enhanced circuits and intelligent algorithms to solve various display problems caused by LED open or short circuits in narrow pixel pitch (NPP) LED display applications as well as mini and micro-LED products: the first scan line is too dark , top and bottom ghosting, low gray level non-uniformity, coupling and caterpillar phenomenon, so the LP5891-Q1 is ideal for such applications.
