The MAX20012BATJH/VY+T are dual-output, high-efficiency synchronous step-down controller ICs that operate from a 3.0V to 5.5V input voltage range and provide a 0.5V to 1.5875V output voltage range. The controller architecture supports load currents up to 12A per phase. Channel 1 can optionally operate in two phases for higher load currents, making the device ideal for automotive point-of-load (PoL) and post-regulation applications.

The MAX20012BATJH/VY+T IC achieves ±2% output error over load, line, and temperature. The IC features a 2.2MHz fixed frequency PWM mode for better noise immunity and load transient response, and a pulse frequency modulation mode (skip) for improved efficiency during light load operation. 2.2MHz frequency operation allows the use of all-ceramic capacitors and minimizes external components. Programmable spread spectrum frequency modulation minimizes electromagnetic radiation.
