The ADE7913ARIZ is an isolated 3-channel sigma-delta ADC for sensors for multiphase energy metering applications using shunt current. Data and power isolation is based on Analog Devices, Inc.'s iCoupler® technology. The ADE7912 has two ADCs and the ADE7913 has three ADCs. The current ADC provides a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 67 dB over a 3 kHz signal bandwidth, while the voltage ADC offers an SNR of 72 dB over the same bandwidth. When a shunt is used for current sensing, one channel is dedicated to measuring the voltage across the shunt. Up to two additional channels are dedicated to measuring voltage, usually using a resistive divider for detection. A voltage channel measures the temperature of the chip via an internal sensor. The ADE7913 includes three channels: one current channel and two voltage channels. The ADE7912 has one voltage channel but is otherwise identical to the ADE7913.
