The ADUM7442ARQZ is a 4-channel digital isolator based on Analog Devices, Inc. iCoupler® technology. Combining high-speed CMOS and monolithic air-core transformer technology, these isolation components offer superior performance characteristics over alternatives such as optocoupler devices and other integrated couplers. The ADUM7441CRQZ family of quad 1 kV digital isolation devices is packaged in a small 16-lead QSOP. While most 4-channel isolators come in a 16-pin wide SOIC package, the ADUM7442ARQZ frees almost 70 percent of board space, yet still withstands high isolation voltages and meets UL regulations. In addition to saving space, the ADUM7442ARQZ offers less price than functional-only 2.5 kV or 5 kV isolators requiring isolation.
