Product Details

The STM32MP157FAA1 device is based on a high-performance dual-core Arm® Cortex®-A7 32-bit RISC core running at up to 800 MHz. Cortex-A7 processors have a 32 KB L1 instruction cache per CPU, a 32 KB L1 data cache CPU and 256 KB L2 cache per CPU. The Cortex-A7 processor is an extremely power-efficient application processor designed to provide rich performance for high-end wearable devices, as well as other low-power embedded and consumer applications. It offers up to 20% better single thread performance than Cortex-A5 and offers similar performance to Cortex-A9.

The STM32MP157FAA1 Cortex-A7 combines all the features of the high-performance Cortex-A15 and Cortex A17 processors, including hardware virtualization support, NEON™ and 128-bit AMBA®4AXI bus interface.

The STM32MP157FAA1 device also embeds a Cortex®-M4 32-bit RISC core running at up to 209 MHz. The Cortex-M4 core has a floating point unit (FPU) single precision that supports Arm® single precision data processing instructions and data types. The Cortex®-M4 supports a full set of DSP instructions and a memory protection unit (MPU) which enhances application security.
