Product Description:

The device is a quad-channel high-side driver using ST's proprietary VIPower® fabrication technology and mounted in a PowerSSO-16 package. The device is designed to drive 12 V automotive grounded loads through 3 V and 5V CMOS compatible interfaces, providing protection and diagnostics.

The device integrates advanced protection against load current limiting, overload and active management through power limiting and configurable thermal shutdown latching.

A FaultRST pin unlocks the output in the event of a fault or disables the latch function. Dedicated multi-function multiplexed analog output pins provide sophisticated diagnostics with functions such as high-accuracy proportional load current sensing, supply voltage feedback and die temperature sensing, in addition to detecting overload and short-to-ground, short-to-VCC and off-state open-circuit loads.
