Product Description:

The ADS131M02-Q1 is a dual-channel, simultaneous sampling, 24-bit, delta-sigma, analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that offers wide dynamic range and low power consumption, making the device ideal for automotive battery management systems (BMS) . The ADC input can be connected directly to a shunt resistor for bidirectional battery current measurement, a resistive divider network for high voltage measurement, or a temperature sensor such as a thermistor or an analog output temperature sensor.


Each ADC channel can be configured independently based on sensor input. A low-noise, programmable gain amplifier (PGA) provides a gain of 1 to 128 to amplify low-level signals. Additionally, the device integrates channel-to-channel phase calibration and offset and gain calibration registers to help eliminate signal chain errors.


The device integrates a low-drift 1.2V reference, reducing printed circuit board (PCB) area. Optional cyclic redundancy check (CRC) on data input, data output, and register map maintains communication integrity.


The complete analog front end (AFE) is available in a 20-pin TSSOP package and is specified over the –40°C to +125°C automotive temperature range.

– Gains of 8, 16, 32, 64, and 128 for ≥1-MΩ input impedance

• Programmable Channel-to-Channel Phase Delay Calibration:

– Resolution = 244 ns, fCLKIN = 8.192 MHz

• Fast start: first data provides ramp within 0.5 milliseconds

• Integrated negative charge pump allows input of underground signals

• Crosstalk between channels: –120 dB

• Low-Drift Internal Voltage Reference

• Cyclic redundancy check (CRC) communication and register map

• Analog and digital power supply: 2.7 V to 3.6 V

• Low Power Consumption: 2.3mW at 3V AVDD and DVDD

• Package: 20-pin TSSOP
