Product Description:

The TPS62873QWRXSRQ1 is a family of pin-to-pin 6A, 9A, 12A, and 15A synchronous DC/DC step-down converters with remote differential sense. For each current rating, there is a full-featured part number with an I2C interface and a limited-function part number without an I2C interface. All devices are highly efficient and easy to use. The low-impedance power switch supports up to 15A of continuous output current at high ambient temperatures.

The devices can be operated in stacked mode to provide higher output current or to spread power dissipation across multiple devices.

The TPS6287x-Q1 family implements an enhanced DCS control scheme that supports fast transients with fixed frequency operation. The device can be run in power-save mode for maximum efficiency or in forced-PWM mode for excellent transient performance and ultra-low output voltage ripple.

An optional remote sense feature maximizes point-of-load voltage regulation, and the device achieves better than ±1% dc voltage accuracy under all operating conditions.

Resistor-selectable switching frequency is achieved through the FSEL pin. The switching frequency can be programmed to 1.5MHz, 2.25MHz, 2.5MHz or 3.0MHz, and can also be synchronized to an external clock in the same frequency range.
