Product Description:

The VNQ5027AK-E is a monolithic device utilizing STMicroelectronics VIPower technology. It is used to drive resistive or inductive loads to ground on one side. An active VCC pin voltage clamp protects the device from low energy spikes (see ISO7637 Transient Compatibility Table).

The device incorporates an analog current sense which provides a current proportional to the load (according to a known ratio) when CS_DIS is driven low or left floating. When CS_DIS is driven high, the current sense pin is in a high impedance condition. The output current limit protects the device from overload (healthy) conditions. In the case of long overload durations, the device limits the dissipated power to a safe level with thermal shutdown intervention. Thermal shutdown with automatic restart allows the device to return to normal operation as soon as the fault condition disappears.
