Product Description:

The LMR23630-Q1 SIMPLE SWITCHER® is an easy-to-use 36V, 3A synchronous step-down regulator. With a wide input range of 4V to 36V, the device is suitable for voltage regulation of unregulated supplies in applications ranging from industrial to automotive. Peak current mode control is used for simple control loop compensation and cycle-by-cycle current limit. Its low 75µA quiescent current makes it suitable for battery-powered systems. Internal loop compensation means that the user does not have to undertake the tedious work of designing loop compensation components. This also minimizes external component count. The device also features a constant frequency FPWM mode for small output voltage ripple at light loads. The device's extended family offers 1A (LMR23610-Q1), 1.5A (LMR23615-Q1), and 2.5A (LMR23625-Q1) load current options in pin-to-pin compatible packages, allowing simple and optimal PCB layout. Utilizing a precision enable input simplifies regulator control and system power sequencing. Protection features include cycle-by-cycle current limit, hiccup mode short-circuit protection, and thermal shutdown from excessive power dissipation.
