Intel: It is predicted that customer inventory digestion will continue until the first half of 2023. In response to last year's dismal performance growth, Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger recently announced organizational restructuring and decided not to invest in network switching product lines and only maintain existing products , vowing to take back the throne of the world's top manufacturing process in 2025; since the scale of other new businesses is still less than US$1 billion, Intel will bet its future on the high-speed computing market.
Looking forward to 2023, Intel expects PC TAM to be at the low end of the 270-295 range this year, and server TAM consumption in 1H23 will decline year-on-year and resume growth in 2H23. In the first half, the PC ecosystem will continue to clear inventory. It is understood that Intel's latest server product, Sapphire Rapids, which is scheduled to start mass production and shipment in the second quarter of this year, was originally scheduled to come out last year, but Intel postponed its official release until early this year.
In addition to the expected increase in computing speed, Sapphire Rapids will also support DDR5 DRAM and PCIe Gen 5 bus, which is expected to increase server computing speed simultaneously. Currently, there are more than 15 companies including Inventec, Wistron, and Acer. More than 10 Taiwan OEM/ODM factories join the new product supply chain.
