Product Description:

The TPS622314TDRYRQ1 family of products is a high-frequency synchronous step-down direct current (DC)-DC converter ideal for battery-powered portable applications. It supports up to 500mA output current and allows the use of small and low-cost chip inductors and capacitors.

The TPS622314TDRYRQ12.05V to 6V wide input voltage enables the device to support applications powered by Li-Ion batteries with extended voltage range. The 2.05V minimum input voltage also allows the use of primary lithium batteries or 2 alkaline batteries. Various fixed output voltage versions are available from 1.0V to 3.3V.

The TPS622314TDRYRQ1 series features a switching frequency up to 3.8MHz. From medium load to high load, the converter operates in PWM mode and automatically enters power saving mode operation at light load current to maintain high efficiency over the entire load current range.

TPS622314TDRYRQ1 Due to its excellent PSRR and AC load regulation performance, this device is suitable to replace linear regulators for better power conversion efficiency.

The power save mode of the TPS622314TDRYRQ1 reduces the quiescent current consumption to 22μA during light load operation. The device has been optimized to achieve very low output voltage ripple and features excellent ac load regulation even with small external components.

For applications that are very sensitive to noise, the device can be forced into PWM mode operation by pulling the MODE pin high. In shutdown mode, current consumption is reduced to less than 1µA. The TPS6223x-Q1 is available in a 1 × 1.5mm26-pin SON package.
