The FF450R08A03P2 HybridPACKTM DSC S2 is a very compact half-bridge module for hybrid and electric vehicles.

FF450R08A03P2 This module builds on Infineon's long experience in developing IGBT power modules and implements the EDT2 IGBT generation, an automotive micropatterned trench field stop cell design optimized for e-drivetrain applications.

FF450R08A03P2 This chipset features benchmark current density, short-circuit strength and higher blocking voltage to reliably operate inverters under harsh environmental conditions. The EDT2 IGBT also exhibits excellent light load power loss, which helps improve system efficiency in real driving cycles. The EDT2 IGBT is optimized for applications with switching frequencies in the 10 kHz range. In addition, an on-chip current sensor and temperature sensor enable accurate monitoring of the IGBT status. These features enhance system protection and intelligent control.

The innovative small package of the FF450R08A03P2 is designed for Dual Side Cooling (DSC) with excellent thermal performance. Low stray inductance and increased blocking voltage enable very efficient system designs.
