The UCC28782CDRTWR is a high-density active clamp flyback (ACF) controller for USB Type C™ PD applications that achieves over 93% efficiency by recovering leakage inductance energy and adaptive ZVS tracking over the entire load range . Magnetics can be minimized at a maximum frequency of 1.5 MHz. Frequency jitter helps improve EMI margins.

The UCC28782CDRTWR also integrates dynamic bias power management to optimize gate drive of Si or GaN MOSFETs. Adaptive Burst Mode (ABM) combined with Low Power Mode (LPM) and Standby Power Mode (SBP) improves light load efficiency while reducing ripple and audible noise.

The UCC28782CDRTWR also integrates an X-Cap discharge function that discharges the remaining input voltage when powered down.
