The LMR14050QDPRRQ1 device is a 40V, 5A step-down regulator with an integrated high-side metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET). With a wide input voltage range of 4V to 40V, the device is suitable for regulating unregulated power supplies in a variety of applications from industrial to automotive. With a quiescent current of 40µA in sleep mode, the regulator is ideal for battery-powered systems. And an ultra-low 1µA current in shutdown mode further extends battery life. The regulator's wide adjustable switching frequency range enables optimization of efficiency or external component size. Internal loop compensation means that the user does not have to undertake the tedious task of designing loop compensation components. And also to minimize the external component count of the device. A precision enable input simplifies regulator control and system power sequencing.
