Product Description:

TPS65217DRSLR is a single-chip power management IC (PMIC) specifically designed to power the AM335x ARM® Cortex®-A8 processors in portable devices and 5V line-powered applications. The PMIC device contains a linear battery charger (supporting single-cell Li-Ion and Li-polymer batteries), dual input power paths, three buck converters, four low-dropout (LDO) regulators, and a high-efficiency boost Converter to power two strings of up to 10 LEDs each. The system can be powered by any combination of USB ports, 5V AC adapters, or Li-Ion batteries. The device is rated to operate from -40°C to +105°C, making it ideal for industrial applications. Three high-efficiency 2.25MHz buck converters provide the core voltage, memory and I/O voltages for the system. The TPS65217x is available in a 48-pin leadless package (6mm x 6mm VQFN) with 0.4mm pitch.
