Optimized for high-performance applications, the LMS3655NQRNLRQ1 synchronous buck regulator offers an output voltage of 3.3V or 5V or an adjustable output from 1V to 20V. Seamless transitions between PWM and PFM modes and low quiescent current ensure high efficiency and excellent transient response at all loads.

Advanced high-speed circuitry allows the LMS3655NQRNLRQ1 to regulate a 24V input to a 3.3V output (400kHz fixed frequency) while also supporting 5.5A of continuous load current. An innovative frequency foldback architecture allows the device to generate a 3.3V output with only 3.5V input voltage regulation. The input voltage range can be up to 36V, and the transient tolerance is up to 42V, making it easy to implement input surge protection designs.

The open-drain reset output has built-in filtering and delay to provide proper indication of system status. With this feature, the device eliminates the need for additional monitoring components, which saves cost and board space.
